Clean, exactly what we needed for a family of 4. We had a great meal at the restaurant. Alex and Gabriel were our waiters, and they were great. We heard there was a romanian guy working in the kitchen. We want to salute him and wish him all the best.
We really enjoyed our time at this hotel! The room was spacious for our family of five. We didnt spend much time in our room because we were out enjoying our time in the town of Matane and our time down by the beach. Every morning and evening we went looking for beach glass and found lots! It was so beautiful at night with the sunset, but also walking around and seeing people having their own fires. We were really lucky to find this spot, perfect for our family.
Stayed here on a road trip and loved it. The waterfront location is peaceful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is friendly. What really makes it a winner: the many on-site swings facing the water (perfect for morning coffee), easy beachcombing for driftwood right out front, and stunning sunset views over the St. Lawrence. The restaurant onsite seemed a bit high end but the big mac from McDonalds hit the spot! Plenty of parking and good value. If you’re passing through Matane—or want a relaxing stop by the water—this is it.
My experience with this hotel, after trying around five hotels on our trip, was good. The view was fantastic. the staff were really friendly and the hospitalities very good. The only issue was that we could hear our neighbors in the room next door. The room itself was spacious and nice. We enjoyed our stay and had breakfast there, it was generally good, not very rich. One thing that bothered me was the parking situation. The manager told me to park in a space that wasn’t officially marked coz the parking was full. The next day, I found a scratch on my car door made by a key. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice it immediately and had already left the hotel. This really upset me, and I'll attach a photo of the scratch on my car door.
The room smelled old and my allergies were making a party in my lungs and nose but after a Claritin I could enjoy and my stay was perfect. Good view of the river and we had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. For the restaurant you must make a reservation. It was so so good, I had the best salmon in my life. The waitresses were so friendly and nice. All the staff were super helpful and friendly
Great view. Owner was very kind. More small tables would be helpful. (I use a CPAP and had to move a side table from living room to bedside for a place to put it. Couch in the living room area was not comfy but the chair there was. We were in a cabin with 2 bedrooms which was a lot more than we needed but it was the only space available and about the same price as other places we stayed. Nice bed!
Great value hotel. We stayed in the out building across the road. Clean rooms and great value for what you pay. No air conditioning but it wasn’t needed so no complaints there. Room was clean and had been renovated in the last few years.
We ended up stranded in Baie Comeau and unable to travel to Matane due to the ferry strike, and the manager offered us free cancellation even though he didn't have to per our booking terms. We appreciated it.
